I can't access the library's website, is there another way to access the library databases?

Answer

Yes.

Occasionally technical issues make accessing databases from the library's website not possible. When this happens, it is possible to access most of the databases through the OhioLINK portal. However, this access only includes the OhioLINK provided databases (this does not include: Nexis Uni, Peterson's Test and Career Prep, Opposing Viewpoints and some others).

Please Note: To use this alternate access method you will need to know your Library Barcode. Please see this FAQ for your barcode information: https://egcc.libanswers.com/faq/335119

  • Go to ohiolink.edu and click on Research Databases on the right side. Choose Eastern Gateway Community College from the drop-down list. OhioLINK Portal
  • Click on the OhioLINK A-Z list titled: Listing of OhioLINK Provided Research DatabaOhioLINK A-Z Link
  • Navigate to the databases using the Browse by Subject, Browse by Type or by using the Alpha Menu. If you don't know which database to use, the Academic Search Complete Database is a great cross-discipline database that is an excellent place to begin. Browse the OhioLINK A-Z databases
