I have to do a journal article analysis on the topic of diversity in education. How do I find articles on this?

Answer

We suggest that you start out by clicking the A-Z Database icon:

On the page that comes up, in the drop down menu of All Subjects, select Education:

We then suggest you select either of these databases, Education Research Complete or ERIC (EBSCOhost interface)

When you click on these, you may be asked to sign into the library system. Here is link that shows you how to log in if you need more guidance: What is my EGCC Library username and password?

The Education Research Complete and ERIC databases have similar interfaces. We recommend using the search terms, "diversity" and "classroom." If you want to, you can further narrow by adding the words "elementary" or "secondary" to your search.

According to the parameters of the assignment, you will also need to find an article that is Peer Reviewed. To do this, select Full Text and Peer Reviewed on the search page as demonstrated in the following screenshots.

If you choose ERIC, this is how you will enter your search criteria.

If you choose Education Research Complete, this is how you would set up your search criteria:

Then you can scroll through your results and find the articles that are the most relevant to you. If you have further questions, please email libhelp@egcc.edu.
