What is a Peer Reviewed Article?

Answer

peer-reviewed article is a scholarly journal article that has gone through a critical review process by one or more experts in the topic's field. These experts are known as referees and are tasked with determining whether the article meets the established criteria (quality, clarity, accuracy, etc.) of the journal or publication.

Many of the library's databases allow users to search for peer-reviewed articles by applying a single limiter.

It is important to note that not all academic journals are peer-reviewed and that using the peer-review limiter will eliminate some scholarly sources from your search results.
