How do I find a particular magazine issue?

Answer

  1. If you've got to find a particular magazine or journal title, this tutorial will direct you.
  2.
  3. When you are on the library main page, you can click on the Publications tab of the Gateway Search, or scroll down to the Publication Finder and click on it.
  4.
  5.
  6. Type the magazine title you would like in the search bar. Say Time, or Scientific American, or Country Living, click search.
  7.
  8.

Then when the title of the magazine comes up, you click on the database title, like Academic Search Premier, or Business Source Complete.

  1. That leads you to a page that is sort of a landing page for said magazine.
  2. You can find articles two different ways there
  3. 1. On the right hand side of that page, click on any year and that will populate a list of issues within that year.  Then you can click on any given issue and it will produce a browsable results list on another tab, of articles available in that issue
  4. 2.  Use the Search the Publication search which will lead you to a whole different page, where you can search by topic, like Guns, or Comets
  5.
  6.
