How do I access the practice files for an O'Reilly Text?
Answer
Some Book and Learning Path Titles make reference to included practice or exercise files that readers can use. In order to use these files you will need to download them to your computer.
Book Practice Files
The supplementary files for Book Titles are located under Resources on the Book's detail page. These files will usually be hosted on the publisher's website. To access the files you may need to click on several links. Please see below images.
Within O'Reilly:
- Search for your title.
- Open the Title's Detail page.
- Scroll to the bottom to a section titled "Resources".
- Click on the Link.
On the Book Publisher's Site:
Each Publishers website will be different. However, look for their link that provides access to Downloads or a similar name. Below is the example for the PowerPoint title above.
For Learning Paths:
Supplementary files for O'Reilly Learning Paths are similarly located at the bottom of the Title Details page. Once you find the Learning Path that you wish to complete, open the detail page and scroll down to find the associated companion file links. Please see the image below for more details.
