How do I create a My EBSCOhost Folder (EBSCO Personal Account)?

Please note, this is separate from your EGCC Library account. The My EBSCOhost account will allow you to save articles within our EBSCO databases and to read EBSCO eBooks. You will need to login each time to save books or articles to this account.

Answer

To set up a My EBSCOhost Account (Folder):

Begin your search either through the Gateway Search or through one of the databases on the A-Z database list.

You will then be taken to an EBSCO results page.

Click the Sign In MyEBSCO located in the blue toolbar at the top right of the page.
Sign into MyEBSCO

From the Sign In Screen, click the Create one now link.

The Create Account Screen appears. Fill in the fields on the Create Account Screen

Note: You may also choose to create an account using your Google account credentials. Click the Sign Up with Google button and follow the prompts.

Check the box to consent to EBSCO's Personal Data Retention and Usage policy.

You can read the Personal Data Retention and Usage policy by clicking the link. If you opt to not consent to the policy, you will be unable to continue creating an account.

When you have completed filling out your information, click Continue.

If your information was accepted, a message appears that confirms your account has been created. To log into your account, click the Click here link and provide your login credentials. You should note the username and password you created so you can log in at a future session.

Make sure you are signed in to your account while searching. If you save articles or books without being signed in, your materials will not save to your account.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with the account, you should contact the EBSCOhost Support https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/How-do-I-contact-EBSCO-Support?language=en_US
