Setting up a profile will allow you to save searches and individual cases and go back to them in the future. You should begin your sessions by signing into your account or creating it the first time.

Create a Profile

  1. Click on My Profile in the upper right section of the page
  2. Click on Create My Profile
  3. Fill out all of the required information
  4. Hit Save
  5. To return to the Sage Business Cases, select Collections at the top and choose Business Cases from the drop down list.

Begin Searching

There are several different ways to search for Business Cases but one of the simplest is to enter your search terms and hit search. If you wish to focus the direction of your research instead of doing a general search, using the option of searching by Discipline, Region or Collection will help you find a different route to information that is more specific to each of those headings. Watch the video below to get more information on those tabs.

When you have a list of results, the first thing you might want to do is select the limiter Available to Me on the left and click Apply. If the list of results is long, you might want to use other limiters as well to narrow the focus. Included with the limiters on the left are the Discipline and Region limiters as well.

Open your Business Case

Once you select and open a business case, all of the content, text, charts, graphs and videos will be available by scrolling down. There are some options in addition to the case itself.

A. A PDF of the case can be accessed and or printed by clicking PDF. When the PDF opens, click on the download icon to download to your computer or the printer icon to print (both located upper right).

B. Cite offers 4 different ways of citing the case. You can copy and paste the citation right into your paper or your notes

C. Permalinks allow the address of a site to be copied and pasted as well so you will be able to go directly back to the page of the case.

D. This is a place to type in a keyword. That keyword will then be highlighted in the body of the case and you can jump right to the most useful sections.

E. By clicking on More Information, it opens up even more links where you can find connections to other cases by the same author, in the same region, of the same type, etc.

Saving a Search or Case

Click on Save Search to save the search with the limiters chosen. When you click on it, it will prompt you to Name the search and click Save. To save an individual case, click on the Add to List and the heart. That will prompt you to add it to a list or create a list and description and add it by clicking Save. You can then retrieve your searches or lists by going to your Profile while you are signed in.
